Hanoi Economic and Trade Forum Held

About 200 enterprises of Sichuan Province of China and Vietnam sent their representatives to the Economic and Trade Forum held on April 8 in Hanoi. Presentations at the Forum are focused on business environment, policies, and investment and cooperation opportunities. According to representatives of China Sichuan Province, exports from Sichuan to Vietnam in 2008 were US$330 million , up by 60% year-on-year. Main exports are textiles, steel, bags and suitcases, micro-electronics and mechanical and electrical equipment. Sichuan also made progress in recent years in economic and technological cooperation with Vietnam .
